Edward Rhee, MD

After growing up in Houston, Texas, Dr. Rhee attended Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, where he received his medical degree. Following medical school, he returned to Houston and completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in nephrology at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center.
He has been performing dialysis access procedures since 2003 when he was instrumental in the opening of Houston’s first freestanding outpatient dialysis access center and possesses a wealth of interventional nephrology experience based on performing thousands of dialysis access procedures over more than twenty years. He has also enjoyed participating in the education of nephrology fellows at Houston Methodist Hospital and has been published in The Journal of Vascular Access and Seminars in Dialysis.
Dr. Rhee maintains certification in nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in interventional nephrology by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology and is a member of the American Society of Nephrology.
